Meet Sara.

Sara Valverde is a Clutter Expert, Clarity Coach, Productivity & Organizing Expert, and Founder of Onward & Upward. She holds 18+ years and thousands of hours’ education and experience in professional organizing and productivity, as well as living clutter-free and joy-full in all areas of life, on all levels that make up a human being.

As a coach, Sara is a trailblazer in harnessing clutter-clearing as a modality to heal, grow, and thrive. Her offerings are structured around the practice of letting go of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual ‘clutter,’ opening up space for what you really need and want to arrive. This has proven transformative in her own life and those of her clients. By attending to all levels of clutter, Sara has healed and grown beyond what she ever thought was possible, particularly in the life areas of career, relationships, wealth, and mental/emotional well-being. Sara has walked the walk, living a clutter-free life for nearly 2 decades. Coaching people by the pillars of Clarity and Simplicity, and Abundance is her intense delight, her calling, and her life’s work.

Sara was a Professional Organizer in The Greater Boston Area from 2016 to 2020. She then moved to New Mexico and started Onward & Upward Clutter-to-Clarity Coaching. She was selected as a speaker at the 2018 NAPO (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals) Conference in Chicago and lectured on “Yogic Tools for Organizers’ Needs.” She was again invited in 2023 to speak to professional organizers on regulating the nervous system. She became a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath Practitioner in 2023. Sara continues to teach yoga and host workshops; she integrates yogic and trauma-informed tools into her work with clients, simply because it is so effective.

Before becoming a professional organizer, she held research, project management, and organizational roles at Harvard Medical School, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Business School, Boston College, GBH, and the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.

Sara earned her B.S. in Environmental Science, conducting independent research in Ecuador as well as studying ecology and conservation in the tropical rain forest, among other ecosystems. She has lived and traveled throughout many areas of the world, crystallizing her mission to guide people back to the joy of living their lives in harmony with the abundance this Earth has to offer.

For all of her adult life, Sara has embraced a ravenous hunger for understanding how to heal our relationship with the physical world - which, it turns out, starts right with our selves and our micro-environments. She stands for womxn empowerment, mindful consumerism and the re-sensitization to Earth. Sara is an animal, plant, and fungi lover, a yoga, noodle, and Queer Eye addict, and a recovering ballerina/perfectionist/sailor.
